Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

Americana Restaurants is a leading restaurant operator and food & beverage platform in the MENA region. As a Quality Assurance Manager you will lead the development and execution of quality and food safety initiatives across the market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage an annual market Quality Plan (QP) to ensure all key tasks and responsibilities are identified and delivered throughout the year.
• Recruit, train, develop, manage, and direct a team of specialist professionals to deliver the Market QP, personal and team goals and IDP.
• Ensure that all AQMS SOPs are understood and followed by all stakeholders within the business.
• Support food safety and quality initiatives, including supplier and product approval, and communicate training standards and procedures.
• Oversee planned distribution centre, commissary and store audits, as well as product surveillance programmes.
• Lead occupational health & safety initiatives, including risk assessment, incident reporting and serious incident investigation.
• Analyse data, report on performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain effective communication and relationships with internal functions such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Property Development, Maintenance and Operations.
• Maintain positive relations with external stakeholders, franchisors, ministry officials and third‑party auditors.

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years of food industry experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of GMP and food safety regulations (mandatory).
• IOSH/NEBOSH certification.
