Quality Engineer - Supply Chain Quality Assurance

About the role

Mondelēz International is hiring a Quality Engineer in its Supply Chain Quality Assurance function, based in Egypt. The role leads the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) process of the site's quality management system and reports results to the quality section manager. It covers food safety, quality compliance with legislation and standards, and the site's CAPA system.

Key responsibilities

• Support the site quality system: internal documentation, change management, quality policy amendments, internal and external audits, PDCA cycles and CAPA management.
• Coordinate the eQCMS bi-annual review, handle consumer complaints end to end, and act as the main contact for food regulatory agency inspections.
• Track and report quality KPIs, analyse them with statistical tools, and ensure products comply with quality standards via CTQs and CTPs monitored with SPC.
• Lead and train Trace/Recall, support Hold/Release documentation, and maintain quality, FSSC, ISO and HACCP plans.
• Create technical SOPs from R&D recommendations, support inspections and audits, and own the site CAPA policy including root cause analysis.
• Manage IMS quality documents, ensure legislative and system compliance (FSSC 22000, ISO 9001), and provide training on quality and food safety.
• Own the SWP of the QM pillar and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Science and Engineering (Production, Mechanical or Chemical).
• 2-3 years of experience, including laboratory experience.
• Ability to analyse data, solve problems and manage multiple activities at once.
• HACCP knowledge and experience using statistical concepts in manufacturing control.
