Secondary Business Studies/Economics Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a passionate and experienced secondary Business Studies/Economics teacher to join its international community in Cairo for the upcoming academic year. The role focuses on delivering the British curriculum (IGCSE/A‑Level) and fostering analytical and critical thinking among students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons in Business Studies and/or Economics.
• Support students in developing analytical, financial, and critical thinking skills.
• Plan, assess, and track student progress in line with curriculum expectations.
• Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school life.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed or equivalent).
• Degree in Business, Economics, Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching the British curriculum (IGCSE/A‑Level strongly preferred).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for international education and student development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the British secondary curriculum for Business Studies and Economics.
• Ability to design and deliver lesson plans that develop analytical and critical thinking.
