Senior Accountant – Chemical Industry

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support a leading chemical company in Egypt. The role combines accounts payable, treasury, and inventory costing responsibilities to ensure accurate financial reporting and cash management.

Key responsibilities

• Run AP reports, process supplier payments, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Perform monthly AP reconciliation to the trial balance.
• Handle all bank transactions, including payments, tax filings, customs payments, and bank reconciliations.
• Record customer collections, match them to sales invoices, and report collection variances.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly cash‑flow forecasts and support treasury policy compliance.
• Coordinate inventory costing validation, monitor inventory movements, and execute cost corrections.
• Participate in quarterly and annual physical inventory counts and review purchasing and shipment costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong experience in accounts payable, treasury, inventory, and cost accounting.
• Previous experience in the chemical or manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and reporting abilities.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using banking portals for payments and reconciliations.
