Senior Application Design Engineer (AVEVA System Platform)

About the role

AIS is looking for a Senior Application Design Engineer (System Platform) to join its Digital Solutions team. You will design, develop and implement industrial automation and SCADA solutions using AVEVA System Platform and related technologies, working with customers, project teams and technical stakeholders on automation solutions, digital transformation, Unified Operations Centers, data integration, visualization and analytics projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement and maintain AVEVA System Platform (ASP) applications
• Develop SCADA and HMI solutions based on customer requirements and project specifications
• Integrate systems with PLCs, RTUs, databases and third-party systems
• Take part in FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup and site support
• Troubleshoot system issues to ensure reliable plant operations
• Prepare technical documentation, functional design specifications and user manuals
• Support digitalization initiatives such as dashboards, KPI monitoring and analytics
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with standards, quality and safety regulations, and provide technical support and customer training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering
• 3 years in industrial automation and SCADA or control systems engineering
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AVEVA System Platform
• Willingness to travel for projects

Required skills

• SCADA/HMI development and system integration
• FAT/SAT, commissioning and site support experience
• Knowledge of PLCs, RTUs and industrial protocols such as OPC UA and Modbus
• Preferred: AVEVA Plant SCADA (Citect) / Emerson SCADA, SQL databases, Python, JavaScript, VBACloud/IIoT knowledge, and relevant AVEVA certifications
