Senior Consultant AI Architect (Onsite)

About the role

A multinational tech consulting firm based in Egypt is looking for an AI Architect to join its AI & Data Consulting group. You will design and implement scalable AI architectures that integrate with enterprise systems, lead AI strategy development and deliver high-quality solutions for clients. The position is full time and onsite in Cairo.

Key responsibilities

• Translate senior stakeholders' and architects' visions into AI/ML strategies and implementation roadmaps aligned with strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with enterprise, application, data and DevOps architects, data scientists, MLOps/GenAI engineers and business teams to pilot use cases and refine architectural designs.
• Select open-source or commercial technologies compatible with deployment models and existing tools.
• Drive delivery and continuous improvement of AI-powered applications using agile methodologies.
• Partner with security and risk teams to ensure ethical AI practices and regulatory compliance.
• Support technical reviews and approvals so AI solutions meet privacy, security and regulatory standards.
• Build client relationships, contribute to proposals and support project success.
• Mentor junior team members through on-the-job training and structured development programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field (or equivalent); advanced degrees in Computer Science, Data Science or related fields preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in data science, analytics and architecture-related disciplines.
• Experience in an architecture function, presenting designs to stakeholders such as Technical Design Authorities or Architecture Boards.
• Professional certifications in AI/ML technologies and cloud platforms.

Required skills

• Cloud-based AI/ML platforms such as Google PaLM, Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI Services, AzureML, AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker, Dataiku, Databricks, Snowflake, DataRobot.
• Serverless, Kubernetes and GPU compute; hands-on deployment of large foundational and generative AI models.
• LLM architecture, fine-tuning, RAG, vector databases and semantic search.
• Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain; API development for serving ML models.
• MLOps practices and experience responding to RFI/RFPs and writing proposal materials.
