Senior Cost Accountant

About the role

The Senior Cost Accountant will oversee and control operational, production, and financial costs across Intertrade’s manufacturing operations. This role bridges Finance, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Operations to ensure accurate cost tracking, efficient resource utilization, and profitability improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Record, monitor, and analyze all production costs, including raw materials, direct labor, utilities, and manufacturing overhead.
• Prepare and maintain accurate product cost sheets and calculate standard‑cost versus actual‑cost variances.
• Review material consumption against BOM standards and monitor scrap, waste, rework, and production losses.
• Analyze manufacturing KPIs such as cost per unit, material yield, waste %, and production efficiency.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for operational departments.
• Reconcile raw materials, WIP, and finished‑goods inventory across ERP, Warehouse, Production, and Finance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4–7 years of cost‑accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOMs, overhead allocation, inventory valuation and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems; Odoo experience highly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
