Senior Cost Manager

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join its Real Estate team in Cairo. The role offers the chance to work on large‑scale, high‑value projects, collaborating with a professional and ambitious team while delivering end‑to‑end cost management services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead estimating and cost planning activities, producing and presenting final cost plans.
• Prepare full Bills of Quantities and tender documentation, managing pre‑qualification and tender analysis.
• Oversee post‑contract cost variances, change control processes and extension of time claims.
• Conduct cost checks and valuations on large projects, ensuring timely and accurate assessments.
• Produce pre‑contract, post‑contract and ad‑hoc reports for client presentation.
• Negotiate with contractors and agree final accounts.
• Interface with clients, contractors and consultants throughout all project stages.
• Lead and mentor a cost management team where required.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the real estate/property sector with a professional cost consultancy.
• Proven background in pre‑contract services, including feasibility, tendering, measurement, and preparation of Bills of Quantities.
• Experience with various procurement methods (single stage, two stage, design‑and‑build) and post‑contract services such as change management and variation valuation.
• Familiarity with standard form contracts, preferably FIDIC, and strong client‑facing communication skills.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
