Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead technical analysis, machinery installation and the preparation of engineering reports to ensure project activities are delivered on time and to quality standards. This role supports the Operations and Maintenance department in aligning its plans with Hikma's overall business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks including technical analysis, installation of machinery and production of engineering reports.
• Participate in the formulation and implementation of Operations and Maintenance department plans.
• Develop and enforce Maintenance department policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Maintenance department, supervising multiple engineering sectors.
• Prepare and monitor the Maintenance unit budget, ensuring activities stay within allocated funds.
• Set individual targets, develop and motivate staff to maximise performance.
• Coordinate work with other technical areas to ensure efficiency, compliance and rapid fault resolution.
• Plan, test, integrate, upgrade or reconfigure line elements and propose process improvements.
• Maintain awareness of internal and external technical developments to support unit requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5‑6 years of experience, preferably in FMCG, pharmaceutical or cosmetics industries.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating information and solving complex problems.
• Demonstrated leadership, planning and organisational capabilities.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to detect minor errors that could cause major issues.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
