Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead end-to-end feature development on Foodics’ high-traffic restaurant management platform. You will work closely with Product, design solutions, ship code, and support it in production, using modern PHP and React/TypeScript.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and monitoring of new features from requirement gathering to production.
• Define technical architecture for significant backend changes and set coding standards for the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product managers to refine requirements and provide estimates.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, propose scalable solutions and ensure reliability of high-volume order processing.
• Integrate and maintain HTTP APIs, handling third-party reliability challenges.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex features in modern PHP (7/8+) with strong OOP and testability practices.
• Hands-on ability to ship production-ready React and TypeScript components independently.
• Background working on high-traffic web applications, understanding database hotspots, caching, queueing, idempotency and observability.
• Practical knowledge of MySQL or similar relational databases, including query optimisation.
• Comfort using AI-assisted coding tools while maintaining critical review of generated code.
