Senior Group Benefits Specialist

About the role

The Senior Group Benefits Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end administration of medical and life insurance programmes for a workforce of roughly 10,000 employees. Reporting to HR leadership, the role ensures accurate enrollment, claims handling and cost optimisation while maintaining compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer day‑to‑day operations of medical and life insurance for ~10,000 staff, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers, brokers, TPAs and other vendors to guarantee seamless service delivery.
• Monitor claims, employee inquiries and escalations, providing timely resolutions.
• Validate invoices, premiums and monthly billing statements, ensuring reconciliation with HR and vendor records.
• Prepare regular reports on benefits utilisation, enrollment, claims trends and costs.
• Support annual renewal process by analysing utilisation data, obtaining quotations and negotiating with providers.
• Maintain compliance with contracts, SLAs, policy terms and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with HR, payroll, finance and other internal stakeholders on benefits‑related matters.
• Develop and maintain accurate benefits databases while safeguarding data confidentiality.
• Participate in benefits projects, system enhancements and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Insurance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in benefits, compensation, HR operations or insurance.
• Proven hands‑on experience managing medical and life insurance programmes.
• Experience administering benefits for a large employee population (8,000‑10,000+).
• Strong track record working with insurance companies, brokers, TPAs and healthcare providers.
• In‑depth knowledge of medical insurance regulations and best practices.
