Senior Java Solutions Architect

About the role

Advansys is hiring a Senior Java Solutions Architect in Cairo. The role acts as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders, turning their requirements into well-assessed, economically sound solutions while maintaining close customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the enterprise's business context, trends and strategy, and define a roadmap for optimizing the application portfolio and its technology domains (servers, storage, network, OS, databases, application and web servers, development and testing environments).
• Define high-level migration plans that bridge the gap between current and future states of business capabilities, technology, applications and data, aligned with IT budgeting or capital planning.
• Lead analysis of current business capabilities and technology environment, and of industry and market trends, to recommend improvements.
• Guide the solution team in choosing the most economical solution and design governance activities to ensure architecture compliance.
• Oversee and consult on technology implementation and modification projects, and on the selection of applications, hardware and software standards, including build/buy decisions and licensing normalizations.
• Deliver solution design and costing for bank-level new initiatives, helping stakeholders prepare business cases for funding.
• Document EA design and analysis work, including postmortems and metrics, and conduct technical peer reviews.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of architecture, solution design and implementation experience in IT.
• Deep knowledge of at least 2 years in banking applications, network design, application development, middleware, servers and storage, database management and operations.
