Senior Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Engineer will manage and execute procurement activities for construction projects, ensuring timely and cost‑effective sourcing of materials, equipment, subcontracted works and services in line with project requirements and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement plans in coordination with project, technical, commercial and site teams.
• Review specifications, BOQs, drawings and material submittals to identify procurement needs.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations and prepare detailed bid comparison sheets.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive prices and favorable terms.
• Process purchase orders, subcontract agreements and monitor delivery schedules.
• Track material approvals, manufacturing, shipment and delivery, mitigating risks and delays.
• Maintain supplier database, evaluate performance and support cost‑saving initiatives.
• Mentor junior procurement staff and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related).
• 4‑6 years of procurement experience in construction or contracting.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, specifications and project documentation.
• Proven negotiation, commercial evaluation and cost‑analysis abilities.
