Senior Production Planner (Engineering Background)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Production Planner with an engineering background to join Saint‑Gobain Glass Egypt in Ain Sokhna. The role will drive manufacturing planning, coordinate with sales and logistics, and ensure timely delivery of glass products.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and coordinate a manufacturing requirements plan based on firm and tentative customer needs.
• Analyze customer requirements and develop workable production plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and generate reports for management.
• Communicate regularly with the Sales team to capture changes and optimise reaction time.
• Verify the necessity of changes within manufacturing lead times and planning fences.
• Participate in relevant meetings and provide clear information to superiors and peers.
• Collaborate with Logistics on schedule analysis, reconciliation, and production scheduling.
• Perform regular comparisons of previous schedule quantities and prepare statistical reports.
• Monitor key performance indicators and issue performance measures to departments.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning activities and implement smooth‑operation plans.
• Support Logistics in problem‑solving and adhere to internal policies, quality and safety standards.
• Contribute to local WCM initiatives and act as project sponsor, leader or member for global/local projects.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or related).
• 5–7 years of experience in production planning or a similar manufacturing role.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; French is a plus.
• Strong analytical, project management and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and build networks.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel automation (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, VBA scripting).
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
