Senior Public Relations & Advertising Specialist

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Senior Public Relations and Advertising Specialist to support the European Commission’s DG MENA in promoting EU policies across the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf. The role is part of a short‑term pool of experts that will be mobilised on demand throughout a 36‑month project.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement PR and media outreach strategies aligned with EU communication goals.
• Plan, negotiate and manage media buying and advertising campaigns across traditional and digital channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists and communication partners.
• Prepare and disseminate press releases, media kits and promotional content.
• Coordinate PR campaigns to maximise visibility of EU initiatives and events.
• Monitor media coverage, evaluate campaign performance and produce analytical reports with recommendations.
• Advise on reputation management, audience engagement and communication opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal communication teams, creative agencies and external service providers to ensure consistent delivery.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in Public Relations, Communication, Marketing or a related field.
• Fluent English.
• Minimum 5 years of general PR/advertising experience.
• At least 3 years of specific experience negotiating media buys and managing PR campaigns.
• Experience working with EU institutions is an asset.
