Senior Sales / Merchant Acquisition Executive

About the role

A fintech company is looking for a Merchant Acquisition Executive / Senior Sales person to grow its merchant network through acquisition. You will identify, onboard and nurture relationships with businesses that can benefit from its payment solutions, drive new business, ensure merchants are integrated into the platform and contribute directly to revenue growth. The position reports to the Sales Manager and follows a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and acquire new merchants across sectors such as retail, e-commerce and hospitality.
• Pitch and present fintech payment solutions (POS, online gateways) to potential clients.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing and contracts with merchants.
• Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring compliance with regulatory and KYC requirements.
• Build strong, long-term merchant relationships to drive adoption and transaction volume.
• Monitor merchant performance, resolve issues and track competitor activity and market trends to refine acquisition strategies.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly acquisition and revenue targets.

Required profile

• 2-4 years of experience in sales, business development or merchant acquisition, preferably in fintech, payments or financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related field.
• Age up to 28.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of fintech payment products (POS, online payment gateways, digital wallets).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities; adaptable, proactive and open to feedback.
