Senior Testing Engineer

About the role

blnk, a fintech company focused on point‑of‑sale financing in Egypt, is looking for a Senior Testing Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability and performance of its consumer finance products across mobile apps and backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans, scenarios and test cases.
• Perform manual functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end testing of mobile applications and APIs.
• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile and API testing and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Validate data integrity and backend operations using SQL queries.
• Conduct performance and load testing of critical services, preferably with JMeter.
• Report defects with clear reproduction steps, track them to resolution and verify fixes before release.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field (ISTQB certification a plus).
• 3+ years of hands‑on software testing experience, preferably in fintech or consumer‑facing applications.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced Agile environment.

Required skills

• Manual testing, test case design and defect reporting.
• Automation of mobile and API tests using Appium, Rest Assured, Postman.
• Programming for automation: Java, Python or JavaScript.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git integration.
• Test management tools: Jira.
• Database validation using SQL.
• Performance testing with JMeter.
• Testing on Android and iOS devices and emulators.
