Senior Trackway Engineer – Section 3

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking a Senior Trackway Engineer to lead the supervision of track construction for public railway projects. The role focuses on on‑site management, ensuring that track works meet technical and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise track construction activities on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and material inspections.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent with at least four years of railway‑related engineering studies.
• Minimum ten years of general railway experience.
• Proven experience as a Lead Track Engineer on at least two completed supervision contracts for public railway permanent way projects; high‑speed rail experience is a plus.
• Background in conventional railways, continuous welded rail (CWR) and yellow‑fleet operations is preferred.

Required skills

• Slab Track construction.
• Ballast track construction.
• Operation of Ballast Tamping Machines.
• Use of yellow‑fleet equipment.
• Knowledge of Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) systems.
• High‑speed rail track construction techniques.
