Shift Lead Engineer

About the role

The Shift Lead Engineer will supervise plant operations, coordinate workflow, and act as the main interface between production, maintenance, and business development teams. This position ensures safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance during normal operation, start‑up, and shutdown phases.

Key responsibilities

• Organise daily plant activities and supervise the shift team.
• Monitor plant parameters, perform start‑up and shutdown using dedicated checklists.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical and instrumentation equipment.
• Conduct safety, reliability and efficiency rounds, reporting any abnormalities.
• Lead 24‑hour troubleshooting and support site reliability initiatives.
• Validate truck unloading checklists and ensure proper handover between shifts.

Required profile

• Electrical or electromechanical engineering degree (or equivalent).
• Fluent English.
• 1‑4 years of experience in electrical maintenance and instrumentation in heavy industry.
• Ability to work onsite and lead a multidisciplinary shift team.
