Showroom Cashier – Furniture Retail

About the role

The Showroom Cashier will be the first point of contact for visitors in Zahra Furniture’s showroom in 6th of October City. You will greet customers, answer basic product and pricing queries, and guide them through the billing and payment process while ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers and respond to product and pricing inquiries.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point‑of‑sale system, handling cash, card and digital payments.
• Issue receipts, maintain a balanced cash drawer and perform daily reconciliation.
• Coordinate with sales staff on order details and manage returns or exchanges according to company policy.
• Keep the checkout area organized, presentable and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist with simple administrative tasks such as preparing sales reports and checking stock availability.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in sales, accounting or retail is a plus.
• Previous experience in retail, cashiering or showroom environments, preferably in furniture or home décor.
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy and ability to work on‑site full‑time, including weekends or evenings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS software and cash handling procedures.
• Basic computer literacy, including use of spreadsheets for recording sales.
• Effective communication and customer service abilities.
