Site Commissioning Manager

About the role

The Commissioning / Roll-out Manager coordinates, supervises and manages installation, integration, testing and commissioning of technology systems in a digital infrastructure project. The role covers servers, network equipment, IT infrastructure, software platforms, power and supporting systems, control and monitoring systems and telecommunications infrastructure. It ensures work is sequenced across multiple contractors and disciplines, that systems meet design and manufacturer requirements, and that the site is progressively ready for testing, commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily on-site installation across technology disciplines, aligned with project schedules and commissioning milestones.
• Ensure equipment and systems are installed according to approved designs, specifications, manufacturer requirements and project standards.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, specialist vendors and suppliers, monitoring performance, quality, productivity and schedule commitments.
• Coordinate pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning across interdependent systems, supporting recovery plans where needed.
• Manage material and equipment logistics, including delivery, storage and movement.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between servers, networks, software, electrical systems, telecommunications, monitoring and cybersecurity infrastructure.
• Oversee quality activities, inspections, punch lists, defect resolution, testing records and handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, access control, permit and energisation requirements.
• Monitor and report progress, escalate risks and delays, and support customer inspections, acceptance testing, handover and closeout.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, IT, Telecommunications or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of site-based experience in technology infrastructure installation, systems integration or commissioning, ideally in data centers, telecommunications or digital infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary contractor teams on site.
• Good experience with health, safety and permit-to-work systems for electrical and technology installations.
• Strong verbal and communication skills in English; knowledge of planning tools is an advantage.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and manufacturer documentation.
• Commissioning methodologies (pre-commissioning, functional testing, integrated testing).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
