Social Media Specialist – Cairo

About the role

The Social Media Specialist will lead Amideast’s external communications in Cairo, ensuring that messaging across all channels is clear, consistent, and engaging. The role combines strategy development, content creation, and performance analysis to promote Amideast’s programs and services in both English and Arabic.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication strategies aligned with Amideast’s mission and vision.
• Manage public relations, prepare press releases, and support product/program launches.
• Oversee content creation for websites, newsletters, and marketing materials.
• Monitor online presence, media coverage, and educational trends.
• Use analytics tools to measure the impact of communication initiatives and adjust tactics.
• Lead graphic designers and content creators, providing guidance to meet marketing goals.
• Develop and maintain a monthly/quarterly social media calendar; schedule posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.
• Monitor and moderate comments, messages, and reviews in English and Arabic.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Proven experience developing communication strategies and managing public relations.
• Ability to lead creative teams and coordinate marketing activities.
