Social Worker

About the role

Westview International Language School is hiring a Social Worker for its on-site team in 6th of October City. The postholder provides social, emotional and behavioural support to students and works closely with students, parents, teachers and the Inclusion Team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide social, emotional and behavioural support to students
• Identify students who need extra support and follow up on their cases
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and case documentation
• Support students with social, family, behavioural and adjustment-related challenges
• Monitor progress and provide appropriate interventions and follow-up
• Support safeguarding and student well-being initiatives
• Refer cases to specialised professionals when needed
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school policies and procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or a related field
• Previous experience as a Social Worker, preferably in a school or educational setting
• Good understanding of child and adolescent development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong case management, follow-up and documentation skills
• Ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Patient, empathetic and approachable; good command of written and spoken English
• Knowledge of child safeguarding and protection procedures is an advantage
