Software Developer – AI‑Assisted BIM & AWS Integration

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Software Developer to build and enhance BIM&D's software products. The role focuses on developing features for Amazon PreConnector, integrating with AWS and Autodesk services, and leveraging AI‑assisted coding tools to accelerate delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and micro‑service APIs for Amazon PreConnector.
• Integrate with AWS services (Redshift, S3, data lakes) and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations to enable AI agents to interact with internal data services.
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Amazon Q to automate repetitive tasks and improve code quality.
• Architect, build, and document RESTful APIs following OpenAPI standards and Amazon security policies.
• Create accessible front‑end interfaces with React.js, adhering to Amazon design guidelines.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimise data pipelines for high throughput and low latency.
• Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure reliability and quality.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on development experience with APIs and micro‑services.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools (Claude Code, Amazon Q) is a plus.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Technical assessment required.
