Software Engineer - Application (Power)

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Software Engineer specialized in application development for power‑related automotive solutions. You will join a multidisciplinary team that creates advanced software tools to support engineering workflows and drive greener, safer mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end backend solutions using Java and Spring technologies (Spring Boot, MVC, Data).
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in rigorous peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver integrated tooling.
• Configure, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
• Apply design patterns and system‑design principles to ensure scalability, modularity, and performance.
• Contribute to agile ceremonies, architectural discussions, and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong mastery of object‑oriented programming and design patterns.
• Proven experience building Windows desktop applications (.NET or Qt) and web applications (Angular with .NET or Python).
• Solid scripting skills (Python, Windows batch, or shell) and hands‑on CI/CD experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
