About the role

Orange Business is looking for a Software Engineer to join the SDN/NFV domain team. You will collaborate with solution architects and developers to design, implement, and test software solutions that meet customer requirements and operate in production environments.

Key responsibilities

Analyse customer requirements and define suitable software architecture.
Develop and test solutions using identified frameworks and code‑quality tools.
Integrate open‑source or commercial components for SDN/NFV use cases.
Participate in regular progress reviews with customers, addressing issues and refining deliverables.
Produce technical documentation and user manuals for deployment and maintenance.
Contribute lessons learned, new ideas, and code back to the open‑source community.

Required profile

BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Communication Engineering.
3‑6 years of professional software development experience.
Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns and micro‑services architecture.
Passion for clean code, unit testing and continuous delivery.

Required skills

Object‑oriented programming, design patterns, micro‑services.
XML, JSON, YAML, RESTful API, Swagger, OpenAPI, gRPC, Protobuf.
C, C++, Python, Golang.
Git, Gerrit, Maven, Make, GitLab.
SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Redis.
Linux OS and shell scripting.
KVM, VMware, OpenStack (preferred).
LXC, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm (preferred).
Ansible, GitLab CI, Jenkins (preferred).
Agile tools: JIRA, Confluence (preferred).
Automated testing frameworks: Selenium, Robot Framework, Pytest, JUnit, Mockito.
