About the role

The Supply Chain Officer ensures that orders are processed efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of field operations. The role involves coordinating with logistics, procurement and customers to guarantee timely delivery of medical and non‑medical supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regular order updates to customers, highlighting any problems or delays.
• Initiate and monitor reports for items on order, ensuring sourcing, picking, packing and shipping are completed.
• Track movement of goods, manage transportation and resolve customer complaints.
• Review back‑orders, reconcile ordered quantities with packaging sizes and follow up on urgent stock items with the procurement team.
• Implement and improve customer service procedures, policies and standards.
• Handle import/export permits and conduct monthly reviews of short‑expiry items.
• Identify slow‑moving or obsolete items and propose alternatives to customers.
• Manage kitting activities, create work orders, reserve components and monitor stock levels.
• Participate in warehouse stock‑taking and reconciliation.

Required profile

• Good health, verified by a medical check‑up prior to field deployment.
• Valid driving licence for manual transmission vehicles.
• Willingness to accept unaccompanied postings for at least 24 months.
• Ability to work in neutral, humanitarian environments without being assigned to a country of nationality.
