Sweet Potato Farm Manager

About the role

We are launching a commercial sweet‑potato venture on 100 hectares in Saudi Arabia and need a founding leader to build the operation from scratch to market. The role combines agronomic expertise, project management and team leadership to deliver a fully integrated value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site selection, soil and water testing, climate assessment and initial agronomic trials.
• Obtain all required permits and approvals.
• Design the farm layout, select equipment, machinery and recruit staff.
• Oversee the complete production cycle: nursery, transplanting, drip irrigation, fertilisation, crop‑protection, nematode management and soil health.
• Manage post‑harvest curing, controlled storage and packing to enable off‑season sales.
• Develop and execute the marketing plan for fresh and stored inventory.
• Ensure compliance with labour regulations and Saudization targets.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering or Horticulture (post‑graduate preferred).
• 5‑15 years of hands‑on experience in sweet‑potato production.
• Proven experience with drip‑irrigation in hot/sub‑tropical climates.
• Demonstrated post‑harvest curing and controlled‑storage expertise.
• Experience setting up greenfield agricultural projects is preferred.
