Tax Operations Analyst - Associate

About the role

PwC is hiring an Associate-level Tax Operations Analyst in Cairo for its Advisory practice within the Technology line of service. The role supports tax operations requests, coordinates with onshore teams and auditors, and contributes to process quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support knowledge transfer and training for new team members and maintain a clear understanding of assigned processes, controls and tax operations requirements.
• Schedule catch-up calls such as planning meetings and PBC alignment calls, liaise with onshore teams and resolve queries within agreed turnaround times.
• Manage the PBC tax operations request list, track deadlines and ageing items, escalate overdue requests and update trackers and task statuses.
• Follow structured instructions to complete tax operations support tasks accurately and contribute to continuous improvement of efficiency, standardization and quality.
• Identify missing information and documentation gaps, maintain documentation trails, and adhere to data privacy, confidentiality and information security requirements.
• Take part in quality reviews and remediation activities.
• Prepare tax operations support documentation using predefined templates, gather, validate and reconcile data, and extract information from ERP systems and reports.
• Support confirmations and stock take processes, and coordinate financial statement and tax operations adjustments, including IFRS-to-GAAP bridge updates where applicable.
• Run completeness and quality checks on documentation before submission to onshore teams and the auditor's platform, and manage the tax operations evidence repository.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Working knowledge of tax operations processes is preferred; basic accounting knowledge or relevant experience is advantageous.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, process-driven environment.
• Team player able to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Excel and standard Microsoft Office tools.
• Data entry and data quality awareness.
