Technical Office Engineer 2

About the role

Green River for Urban Development is looking for a Technical Office Engineer 2 in Cairo, Egypt, for an on-site, full-time position in the engineering, construction, civil and architecture sector. The engineer leads the technical office functions, bridging design and construction through precise documentation, information flow and adherence to engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team within the technical office, fostering precision and efficiency.
• Oversee the preparation and review of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, method statements and material submittals.
• Coordinate technical information between clients, consultants and site teams.
• Use AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit for design review, quantity take-offs and clash detection.
• Implement and manage BIM processes to improve visualization and coordination.
• Carry out quantity surveying and cost estimation to support budgeting and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards and regulations.
• Support site teams and resolve engineering issues, and prepare progress reports and presentations for management and clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in a Technical Office role in engineering, construction, civil or architecture.
• Proven managerial track record with leadership and project oversight.
• Familiarity with contract management principles and practices.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Required skills

• Exceptional command of AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit and BIM.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and technical office procedures.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Project management, quantity surveying, cost estimation and construction management experience.
