Test Automation Engineer (Mid-Senior)

About the role

A large multinational organisation is hiring a Test Automation Engineer in Egypt, recruiting on its behalf. The role sits within a dedicated test automation function and blends hands-on delivery with technical leadership. You will design complex automation across SAP, web and mobile, keep frameworks scalable and maintainable, and mentor junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of complex automation suites across SAP, web and mobile.
• Own framework scalability and maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers through code and test-strategy reviews.
• Coordinate automation planning with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate and introduce new automation tools and technologies.
• Carry out performance and scalability testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 3 to 5 years of development experience.
• Proven experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright and Appium, and/or enterprise tools such as UFT.
• Track record of planning and delivering tests in multi-vendor, international environments.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms such as SAP Hybris / SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Magento is a strong advantage.
• Strong mentoring, collaboration and critical-thinking skills.

Required skills

• Automation frameworks: Playwright, Appium, UFT
• DevOps and CI/CD toolsets and processes (essential)
• Performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner or Azure Load Testing) is a plus
• Agile SDLC with Azure DevOps, Jira or Confluence is a plus

What we offer

• Monthly gross salary of EGP 64,000 to 71,000.
• 10% annual bonus, with 14 months guaranteed per year.
