Vendor Manager – Hardlines (Other Hardlines)

About the role

As a Vendor Manager in Amazon's Other Hardlines team, you will shape the future of the category while driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will own the P&L for a major category, manage key vendor relationships, and develop strategic plans to expand product selection and improve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Act as business owner for the product category and vendors, understanding internal and external variables that impact the business.
• Grow the brand's catalog, ensuring full product selection and availability on Amazon.
• Manage profitability through proactive negotiation of costs, promotional opportunities, and other business inputs.
• Conduct pricing and ROI analysis and make recommendations to optimize profit margins.
• Oversee business forecasting, monitoring, and reporting to drive strategic supply‑chain projects and promotions.
• Manage purchase orders and in‑stock analysis for sub‑categories and strategic brands to maintain healthy inventory levels.
• Optimize online product content and support marketing plans to drive awareness.
• Drive cross‑category initiatives to improve operational processes and deliver results.

Required profile

• 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management experience with a focus on negotiations and delivering results.
• Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience.
