AI Team Manager

About the role

The AI4ALL team seeks a hands‑on Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performing group of cloud, AI and software engineers. You will balance people leadership with deep technical involvement, guiding architecture, code quality and delivery on Google Cloud Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team, conduct performance reviews and manage capacity planning.
• Participate actively in architecture reviews, code reviews and proof‑of‑concept work to ensure scalability, security and high quality.
• Drive sprint planning, delivery commitments and operational KPIs such as deployment frequency and lead time.
• Collaborate with product, cybersecurity and other cross‑functional teams to align engineering output with business goals.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software, cloud or platform engineering experience, with at least 3 years in people‑management or technical leadership.
• Proven ability to motivate teams, manage complex projects and communicate technical trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum, capacity planning and stakeholder management.

Required skills

• Python (backend/full‑stack) and microservices design.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, networking.
• Containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE).
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• GenAI architectures, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, Google GenAI SDK).
• Automated testing strategies, static code analysis and code review standards.
• Version control (Git), Jira, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure is a plus.
