Application Support and Cloud Ops Engineer

About the role

The Managed Application Cloud Expertise (MAC) team within Orange Business is looking for an Application Support and Cloud Operations Engineer. You will provide 2nd‑level support for mission‑critical applications and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and rapid incident resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain application availability to meet SLA targets on a 24x7 on‑call basis.
• Diagnose, route, and resolve incoming trouble tickets from the IT Helpdesk, OBSIT Monitoring, or hosting entities.
• Perform system administration tasks on Windows and Linux servers, including change execution and task orders.
• Communicate planned and unplanned outages to end users and participate in UAT testing for new features or bug fixes.
• Provide L2 support for cloud infrastructure and cloud‑based applications, working in a DevOps mode.
• Document known issues, collaborate with team members, and contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a global, multicultural team.
• Good time‑management skills and willingness to be on‑call.

Required skills

• Operating system administration and scripting (Windows, Linux).
• Database administration (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Web services knowledge (SOAP, REST).
• Development experience with at least one of: Python, Java, ASP.NET, Node.js, C#, PHP, React.js.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and L2 cloud infrastructure support.
• Understanding of big‑data platforms (e.g., Pervio or similar).
