Area Manager – Specialty Coffee Operations

About the role

RAF Specialty Coffee is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple coffee house locations, drive sustainable revenue growth, and ensure consistent operational standards across the region. The role demands a strong field presence, analytical mindset, and the ability to develop branch leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a monthly branch visit plan covering 100% of locations, conducting full operational audits on quality, cleanliness, customer experience, inventory, shift management, and training.
• Analyze performance metrics such as sales, waste, and customer satisfaction; intervene with turnaround plans for under‑performing branches.
• Manage financial performance by reviewing sales reports, monitoring same‑store growth, controlling waste and labor costs, and ensuring compliance with discount and promotion policies.
• Lead talent development through monthly one‑on‑one meetings with Branch Managers, approve development plans, and build internal succession pipelines.
• Ensure unified customer experience by reviewing OVR and mystery audit reports, monitoring standards (presentation, ambiance, hygiene), and supporting promotional campaigns.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, attendance, discipline, food safety, and occupational health standards, escalating major violations as needed.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, and support new product testing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• 2+ years experience as an Area Manager.
• 3–7 years experience in the specialty coffee industry (highly preferred).
