Artificial Intelligence Specialist (Part‑time, Hybrid)

About the role

Sahahly is seeking a part‑time Artificial Intelligence Specialist to design, build, and refine AI‑powered tools that support examination workflows, automated grading, and student guidance. The role is hybrid, based in New Cairo, combining on‑site collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI features using large language models (LLMs) from commercial APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) and open‑source models (Llama, Mistral, Qwen, DeepSeek).
• Perform prompt engineering, model evaluation, and create pipelines that integrate LLMs into existing platforms.
• Design evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, consistency, cost, latency, and quality.
• Collaborate with educators and internal teams to translate user needs into technical requirements.
• Document solutions, stay current with AI advancements, and ensure ethical, secure handling of student data.

Required profile

• 1+ years of hands‑on experience building and shipping AI/LLM features (professional, freelance, or substantial project work).
• Demonstrated work with both commercial LLM APIs and open‑source models, with examples or links.
• Strong practical skills in prompt engineering, model evaluation, and system design for reliability.
• Proficiency in Python (or similar language) for AI development.
• Solid foundation in computer science and applied machine‑learning concepts.
