Assistant Manager - Controlling, Real Estate & Finance

About the role

Al-Futtaim Real Estate, part of the Al-Futtaim Group, is hiring an Assistant Manager for Controlling in its Cairo office. The role ensures accurate and reliable business reporting through robust, well-controlled financial closing processes, keeping consistency, compliance and integrity across all reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and ensure timely, accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, and prepare and review financial statements, management reports and supporting analyses.
• Record month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, provisions and adjustments, and maintain the Chart of Accounts with proper classification across account groups, cost centers and profit centers.
• Monitor VAT and tax entries, and perform regular and ad hoc financial analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and distribute management reports and analytical reports, and coordinate external audits, including audit schedules, documentation and queries.
• Oversee intercompany reconciliations, cost allocations and revenue and cost recognition in line with accounting standards.
• Support the Record-to-Report (R2R) team, take part in ERP implementations and process improvement initiatives, and drive continuous improvements in financial controls and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the real estate sector.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
• Proven track record of preparing high-quality financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Certifications such as IFRS, CMA or FMVA are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Word.
• Experience with SAP or similar financial systems is preferred.
