Senior Analyst - Controlling, Real Estate & Finance

About the role

Al-Futtaim, a diversified regional group founded in the 1930s with operations in automotive, financial services, real estate, retail and health, is hiring a Senior Analyst for its Controlling function in Cairo. The role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting through month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, and covers the General Ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations and compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, including regular and ad hoc analysis.
• Maintain the Chart of Accounts and ensure proper classification across account groups.
• Prepare monthly management reports and timely, accurate financial statements and analytical reports.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reconcile intercompany accounts, resolving reconciling items.
• Support year-end and financial audits by preparing audit schedules and coordinating with auditors.
• Record transactions correctly in the General Ledger and allocate them to the right cost and profit centres.
• Handle intercompany cost allocations and maintain accurate revenue and cost recognition records.
• Record month-end entries including prepayments and accruals, and monitor VAT accounting entries.
• Take part in special projects, ERP implementations, system enhancements and ad hoc financial analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, including hands-on Accounts Payable experience, preferably in the Real Estate sector.
• Solid background in Real Estate accounting preferred; SAP financial application experience preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
• Solid understanding of General Ledger accounting, closing, reconciliations, reporting and audit requirements.
• Experience in in-depth financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Strong communication, teamwork and stakeholder collaboration skills.
