Assistant Manager, People Development

About the role

The Assistant Manager, People Development will support the People Development Manager in fostering a continuous learning culture across Swissotel Sharm El Sheikh. This role ensures that learning initiatives are prioritized, delivered effectively, and aligned with both hotel and global brand objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a continuous learning culture, ensuring learning is available, supported, prioritized, and executed.
• Collaborate with hotel leaders (Department Heads, People & Culture Team) to identify learning needs and design best‑in‑class learning approaches.
• Assist in developing and implementing training strategies that reinforce company culture.
• Embed global brand and culture initiatives within the hotel.
• Deliver high‑quality learning solutions to all business units.
• Support integration and administration of INES (PeopleHub) as a core learning resource.
• Advise the business on emerging technologies, thought leadership, practices, and trends.
• Certify hotel trainers, facilitators, and PD teams to deliver various programs.
• Manage PD programs within agreed budget, including selection and oversight of external or internal consultants.
• Coach and develop hotel team capability, providing direction and inspiration for high standards.
• Align with global learning and development ethos for co‑design and enhancement of programs.
• Tailor global learning content to hotel needs, including language translation.
• Conduct on‑the‑job and task‑breakdown training.

Required profile

• Demonstrate fundamentals of the company’s service culture.
• Strong collaboration skills with department heads and People & Culture team.
• Ability to coach, develop, and inspire hotel staff.
• Capability to manage budgets and external/internal consulting resources.
• Proficiency in aligning local initiatives with global learning and development standards.
