Assistant Manager – Production Planning

About the role

As an Assistant Manager in Production Planning you will create detailed production schedules while considering material, line, and labor availability, as well as maintenance plans. You will ensure raw and packaging material availability through effective replenishment and supplier communication, driving efficiency and optimization across DPS and MRP.

Key responsibilities

• Create feasible detailed production schedules within the agreed planning time fence, optimizing asset efficiency and stock availability.
• Agree on plans that minimize impact on customer service levels and working capital.
• Develop and optimise 18‑month replenishment plans for raw and packaging materials to meet production needs and working‑capital targets.
• Manage supplier exceptions, following up on delivery shortfalls and quality issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with procurement to close gaps.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, lot sizes and cycle times, enhancing speed and agility at appropriate cost.
• Identify improvement opportunities with suppliers and procurement to reduce total delivered cost (TDC) and improve service.
• Maintain accurate production planning master data in GLOBE to reflect correct production, requirement and supply plans.
• Ensure alignment between supply planners, procurement and factory teams, building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Support new product development timing and manage local supplier relationships within the supply stream.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain.
• 0‑3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate across the value chain from shop floor to overseas suppliers.
• F&B background is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with Power BI.
