About the role
The Assistant Storekeeper supports the smooth operation of the resort's inventory and supplies. You will receive, stage, and distribute merchandise, ensuring that all items are stored correctly and meet quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking for placement and delivering to the appropriate area.
- Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and notify managers of low inventory in a timely manner.
- Store perishables properly, rotate stock, and inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, and quality.
- Refuse damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items and adhere to food safety policies.
- Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
- Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in proper storage areas.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect confidential information.
- Communicate clearly with guests and co‑workers and support team goals.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills listed; ability to lift up to 50 lb, read small print, and work in varied physical environments.
