Azure Data Engineer – Data Platforms Team

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer to join the Data Platforms team within Coca‑Cola Hellenic’s Digital & Technology Platform Services in Cairo. You will help shape the strategy, design and development of enterprise‑wide reporting solutions, turning data from multiple sources into reliable, analytics‑ready assets that power business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory at terabyte scale.
• Monitor pipeline health, set up alerts, respond to incidents and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across ingestion, transformation and serving layers.
• Implement and extend medallion architecture patterns.
• Develop data ingestion processes from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Support migration from SAP BW while preserving data continuity and quality.
• Ensure data integrity and availability through proper storage, partitioning and access controls.
• Collaborate with data scientists, BI analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, own backlog items and deliver within defined sprint scopes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of data engineering experience with hands‑on Azure exposure.
• Proven ability to design and operate production‑grade data pipelines handling large volumes.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to business audiences.
