Back End Developer – Fintech Payments Platform

About the role

We are a fast‑growing fintech startup that enables tenants to pay rent with credit or debit cards, turning a major monthly expense into a flexible financial experience. As a Back End Developer you will design, build and maintain the core payment and integration services that power our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Python (Django) and PostgreSQL.
• Design, implement and integrate APIs, payment flows and third‑party services.
• Optimize database performance, security and overall system reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend, product and operations teams to deliver new features.
• Write clean, maintainable and well‑tested code.
• Support infrastructure, deployments and monitoring of production systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Ensure high standards of security and data protection.
• Contribute to system architecture and scalability improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of backend development experience.
• Experience in fintech or payment‑related platforms is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
