Back End Developer Intern

About the role

TeraDevelopers is seeking a motivated Back End Developer Intern to join our team in Alexandria. This 3‑month internship offers hands‑on experience building real‑world e‑commerce and software projects under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications.
• Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Work with MySQL databases, write queries and optimize performance.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot backend issues.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers and UI/UX designers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Participate in code reviews, daily stand‑ups, and team discussions.
• Apply software development best practices and learn new technologies.

Required profile

• 3rd or 4th year computer science (or related) student or fresh graduate.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Alexandria.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of PHP.
• Familiarity with the Laravel framework.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with MySQL.
• Basic knowledge of Git.
• Optional: Docker basics.
• Optional: Linux command‑line basics.
• Optional: Exposure to e‑commerce platforms.
