Batch Plant Manager (Concrete Background)

About the role

Lafarge Egypt is seeking an experienced Batch Plant Manager to lead the Readymix Batch Plant in Ain Al‑Sokhna. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective plant operations while meeting production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce health and safety legislation, Lafarge safety standards, and promote a strong safety culture across all plant personnel.
• Provide monthly safety performance reports, lead investigations of major incidents, and develop improvement action plans.
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Director on annual budgeting, analyse accounts, and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Monitor plant performance against targets, manage CAPEX data, and contribute to quarterly business reviews.
• Oversee initiatives to maximise operational performance, minimise equipment downtime, and manage truck logistics.
• Lead concrete plant erection, removal, and major refurbishment projects, including electrical works.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a Readymix or concrete batch plant.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and ability to lead safety programmes.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control, and CAPEX planning.
• Demonstrated ability to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Capability to supervise plant erection, refurbishment, and related electrical activities.
