Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will lead all financial functions of the Instituto Iberoamericano de Empresa y Economía, a non‑profit focused on business and economics knowledge. This part‑time, hybrid position combines on‑site work in Cairo with remote responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor annual budgets and long‑term financial plans.
• Prepare, review and present financial statements and reports for internal leaders and external partners.
• Manage cash flow, financial controls, risk management practices and compliance with accounting standards.
• Liaise with auditors, donors, and regulatory bodies, and improve financial systems and processes.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in finance with experience in budgeting and financial planning for non‑profit or mission‑driven organizations.
• Proficiency in preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial statements and reports.
• Advanced analytical skills to assess performance, forecast trends and support strategic decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; master’s or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus.
