Chief Information Technology Officer

About the role

The Chief Information Technology Officer will lead the entire IT function, driving strategy, governance and execution across a heavy‑industry environment. This senior leader will ensure technology aligns with business goals while fostering a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the IT team, promoting continuous development and high performance.
• Establish IT policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Lead IT projects from planning through implementation, delivering on time and within budget.
• Oversee technology vendors, service providers, and software partners.
• Control IT budgets and ensure cost‑effective technology investments.
• Maintain and evolve IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud solutions, and data centers.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect business and manufacturing systems.
• Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and data backup procedures.
• Monitor IT security risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Manage compliance with IT regulations, audit controls, risk management frameworks, and software licensing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 + years of progressive IT experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior IT leadership role (e.g., IT Director, Head of IT, IT Manager).
• Proven experience within steel fabrication, steel manufacturing, heavy industry, or industrial engineering environments.
