Construction Manager – Construction Team

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the delivery of new Fulfillment Centers, Sortation Centers, Delivery Stations and related auxiliary buildings across the MEATR region. Based in Cairo, the role involves extensive travel (40‑60%) to oversee projects from site selection through contract execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end construction of new facilities and renovations, ensuring schedule, cost and permitting compliance.
• Supervise multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from small remodels to large‑scale ($20M+) builds.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and analyses to define design requirements and capacity expansions.
• Negotiate contracts and change orders with developers and general contractors, securing approvals as needed.
• Coordinate with internal technical teams, operational customers, consultants and contractors to align engineering, design and construction activities.
• Serve as Amazon’s primary interface with developers, contractors and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing industrial construction projects, including new builds and retrofits.
• Ability to work independently in the assigned region with minimal direction.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for 40‑60% of the time.
• Strong analytical skills to review budgets, bid packages and program discrepancies.
