Cook – Full‑time

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a dedicated Cook to join its kitchen team in Cairo. The successful candidate will prepare, cook, and present food in line with the brand’s quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality, presentation and food‑preparation checklists.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness and ensure correct temperatures.
• Set‑up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions and maintain clean, disinfected kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies; report maintenance needs or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets and uphold confidentiality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Operation of kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers).
• Food safety and hygiene practices.
