Cost and Inventory Management Lead

About the role

The Cost and Inventory Management Lead will drive accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and margin improvement across manufacturing and retail operations. This senior position combines analytical expertise with leadership of inventory control initiatives to support profitability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing product costing and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Perform cost variance analysis, monitor yields, scrap, and production efficiencies.
• Support new product costing and profitability assessments.
• Oversee inventory reconciliation across factories, warehouses, and retail stores.
• Manage landed cost allocation, cross‑border inventory movements, and valuation.
• Analyze inventory shrinkage, discrepancies, damages, and obsolete stock.
• Lead cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS inventory valuation and internal control policies.
• Prepare management reports and provide insights to improve gross margins and inventory performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CMA or ACCA qualification highly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in costing and inventory control.
• At least 3 years in a manufacturing and retail environment, preferably FMCG, cosmetics, perfumes, or luxury retail.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics F&O, or Odoo.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and financial modeling.
